The base yarn is a blend of non-superwash 40% British Bluefaced Leicester, 40% British Shetland and 20% British alpaca. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The yarn is naturally grey, giving any colour dyed over it a wonderful depth.
The three fibres combine to make a yarn with some wonderful characteristics. The BFL provides lustre and bulk, the alpaca adds drape, and the Shetland wool adds a woolliness and structure to the mix.

Recommended for all sorts of projects including garments and accessories, with fantastic stitch definition and a little halo. Not recommended for socks.
